Action Girl: Ellen Ripbro, Cherry Broling, The Brode, and Tank Bro.

The Brodator, if killed without his corpse being gibbed, he will activate a self-destruct sequence that will attract mooks before exploding.

He will also automatically stick dynamite to any mook that he throws.

Macbrover will, if ordered to throw dynamite (his standard attack) when within knifing range of an enemy, stick it on the enemy instead, and the mook will proceed to run around until he blows up.

Soul Catchers are large zombies that explode upon nearing the player, but the catch is that they explode into five Lost Souls. Lost Souls are similar to Screechers, but can track the player mid-fight and accelerate very quickly. The first, Engorged Mooks, behave similarly to Suicidal Mooks but can throw themselves in the air.

There are multiple demons that fit this role.

They attack the player by dive-bombing them or rolling at them at high speeds, respectively.

Two aliens, Screechers and Banelings, are a more dangerous reskin of the Suicidal Mook.

Suicidal Mooks, enemies with dynamite vests that run at the player, are the first encountered instance of this trope.

On November 18th 2022, a new update called 'Broforce Forever' was announced. On August 5th 2014, a bro (free) version of the game based on The Expendables 3 was released on Steam, titled The Expendabros.

The characters are all Lawyer Friendly Camebros of classic action movie and television heroes, mostly from the 80-90s era, (although a couple come from the 70s, and some come from the 2000's) and with their names featuring various puns on 'bro'. As such, the obvious solution to any and all problems and obstacles is Bro Dakka and Stuff Broing Up. The destructible levels may be reminiscent of games such as Spelunky, however, unlike a typical Metroidvania which encourages caution and conservation of resources, this is a homage to classic shooters in the vein of Contra or Metal Slug.

Despite its self-parodying Brogleland Patriotic Fervor, it is in fact created by South African indie game developer Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital.

Broforce is an indie platformer game that received its full launch on October 15th 2015.

Broforce gameplay
